Passable but ultimately repetitive cringe-fest. Sacha Baron Cohen really is a talented guy but Bruno is far too OTT to sustain interest. In the few moments we are treated to a glimpse of Bruno's 'true' feelings (what feelings???) the audience gets an opportunity to bond with the leading character. When we're being exposed to the extreme but funny sexual fetishes and thoughts of the uber Austrian celeb-pop-trash TV host's antics, it is less funny than hard to swallow - I'm sure he'd have something to say about that.

Hola, film buddy!
Films. Movies. Flicks. Pictures. Cinema. Call them what you will...I LOVE THEM! Almost every film has at least one redeeming feature be it the script, effects, leading lady, costumes etc. Few films suck so much that nothing can be gained from watching them... but maybe, in my quest to watch as many as possible in one life time, I will find that one! - As kids, my brother and I used to spend hours planning which films to tape off the telly at Christmas... hours. Trawling though the Radio Times AND TV Times just to make sure we got all we wanted. Having a VCR made us SO happy and bound us together in a world of fantasy and fact, bravado and action. What a world it is! Still a common bond with so many people in my life, film is amazing and although I discovered the joys of the outside world, books and, dare I say it, real-life people I'm still a film-addict in the best sense of the term.
